Green-Light Your Book: Writing Craft Book of the Month

I don't have a writer's education. I didn't major in English. Wait, I did for one semester but the over analyzing of Anna Karenia was so painful that it sent me running for a major change. In defense of the English department, I had four majors in four semesters because no one told me you could be undeclared for a while. There was no Creative Writing option. I do not have an MFA though I think I would have thrived in a program. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology, my masters in Special Education, and my doctorate in Special Education (Language Development and Literacy). I have always been a voracious reader and have journaled since I was 12.

I have been writing for several years, have begun to have poems and essays published, and my work has appeared in several anthologies. I am now writing book length and that means it is time to explore publishing options. There is a wide range of possibilities and it can be rather difficult to sort through the choices.

Brooke Warner, publisher at SheWrites Press, a hybrid publisher, has written a book that explains all the options and gives pros and cons for each. If you are ready to start shopping your book around, this is the guide you need!
