Stories from the Heart

I am planning to be in Austin, Texas April 15-17th for the bi-annual Stories From the Heart conference sponsored by the Story Circle Network. Here’s the blurb from the conference webpage:

Stories from the Heart VIII will bring women from around the country to celebrate our stories and our lives. Through writing, reading, listening, and sharing, we will discover how personal narrative is a healing art, how we can gather our memories, how we can tell our stories. We welcome readers, writers, storytellers, and any woman with a past, present, and future. There will be opportunities to explore difficult or hidden issues, expand our relationships with other women, and discover different modes and media—such as art, dance, and drama—for sharing our stories. Come, learn, share, celebrate with us as we honor our stories!

Brooke Warner, founder of SheWrites Press will give the Friday night keynote address and Susan Wittig Albert, NY Times bestselling author and founder of Story Circle Network, will be the keynote speaker at the Sunday luncheon. In between is an assortment of workshops to delight any writer.

There is still time to register. One of the best gifts we can give ourselves as writers is opportunity to network with other writers, refresh and expand our skills, and be inspired by fellow creatives. Please come!
